Hand in Paw’s Volunteer Reunion Party celebrates 30 years of Animal-Assisted Therapy. Open to current and past volunteers and their guests. Saturday, May 16 from noon to 3 p.m. at Hand in Paw's Training Center & Gardens.
June 2, 2026 4-7 pm
Stop by Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams on Tuesday, June 3, from 4-7 p.m. and treat yourself while supporting Hand in Paw. 25% of purchases made during the event benefit our Therapy Teams, and a few of the dogs may even make an off-duty appearance on the patio. Come for the ice cream, stay for the mission!

Join us Saturday, Aug. 22, at Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum for the 25th installment of our signature gala, Picasso Pets, featuring live and silent auctions auction, a Photo Booth, wine pull, a fabulous seated dinner, Tito's signature cocktails, wine, beer, and more!
These events occur every year and are our biggest fundraisers!
Mutt Strut
Hand in Paw's 16th Annual Mutt Strut: Dog-Friendly 5k and 1 Mile, presented by Creative Dog Training, Fun Run will take place at Homewood Central Park on Saturday, April 11! It will be a pawesome day in the great outdoors full of exciting races, contests, and vendors.
Picasso Pets
Our signature auction featuring a chic VIP cocktail reception, therapy animals, signature drinks, a seated dinner, and silent and live auctions. The 25th Annual Picasso Pets will take place on Saturday, August 22, 2026 from 6-10 pm at Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum.
Barktoberfest
Our Oktoberfest-inspired "friendraiser" is Saturday, October 16, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Cahaba Brewing Company. Enjoy a spirited pet costume contest where furry friends show off their Halloween best, a photo booth, and a stein hoist competition for those ready to test their strength.
