Hand in Paw’s Junior Board is a dynamic group of community-minded young professionals who are passionate about making the world a better place—one paw at a time. By raising awareness and funds for our mission, Junior Board members help ensure our life-changing Animal-Assisted Therapy services remain free of charge to those who need them most.

Anyone in the Greater Birmingham area who’s passionate about our mission is welcome to apply! Though the Junior Board is geared towards students and young professionals, there is no age requirement. Whether you're a lifelong animal lover or new to the nonprofit world, we’re excited to hear what you’ll bring to the table.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and new members are voted in at our Annual Meeting each spring. We encourage applicants from all backgrounds and skill sets — especially those with experience in fundraising, events, marketing, or community outreach.
