Birmingham, AL:
Adams and Reese’s Birmingham office recently donated many items from Hand in Paw’s wish list and made a generous donation to the nonprofit as a part of their HUGS (Hope, Understanding, Giving and Support) initiative.
HUGS is an Adams and Reese employee volunteer program that provides charitable and philanthropic programs with donations, financial resources and hands-on volunteer support. As a “dog-centric” office and admirer of Hand in Paw’s work and mission, the Birmingham location of Adams and Reese chose HIP to be a recipient of their HUGS program this year.
Adams and Reese purchased almost everything on Hand in Paw’s wish list and hand-delivered the items to their campus. Items included copy paper, pet wipes, pet waste disposal bags, K-cups, bottled water, a pet hair robotic vacuum, and a picnic bench to be displayed in the John 3:16 Memorial Gardens.
In addition to the wish list items, Adams and Reese made a monetary donation to help further Hand in Paw’s mission to improve human health and well-being through Animal-Assisted Therapy. After their display of generosity, Hand in Paw gave the firm a tour of the campus and had Therapy Teams on-site to talk to the employees and answer any questions they had about their work.
“We cannot thank Adams and Reese LLP enough for this amazing act of kindness and generosity. The items donated will be so helpful in our Therapy Team training workshops as well as providing day-to-day office support,” says Ashley Foster, Development Director.
