Wow — what a day! On Saturday, April 5, we threw it back to the ’80s for the 15th Annual Mutt Strut, and let’s just say: y’all brought it. With neon spandex, big hair, and even bigger smiles, Central Park turned into a furry flashback of fun, fitness, and four-legged friends.
Thanks to your support, we raised over $54,000 to help Hand in Paw continue providing life-changing Animal-Assisted Therapy across Central Alabama and Tuscaloosa. That’s right — your good vibes are making a real difference in hospitals, schools, and beyond.
From the 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run to the vendor village, doggy costume contest, and photo ops with Spot, every moment was totally fetch. And we’ve got the pics to prove it:

Behind all the tail wags and high-fives was our incredible Junior Board, who plan and host Mutt Strut each year. Want to meet the passionate young professionals who made this day happen? Check out our recent blog post introducing the Junior Board!
We’re sending the biggest thanks to our Presenting Sponsor, Creative Dog Training, and all the generous sponsors and vendors who made this event such a blast. And to everyone who ran, walked, cheered, or simply showed up with a wagging tail—thank you. You helped make this the most rad Mutt Strut yet.
