Picasso Pets 2025, presented by VP Funds, was an unforgettable evening at the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum on Saturday, August 23. Thanks to your support, more than 350 guests helped raise over $370,000 to fuel Hand in Paw’s mission.
Guests arrived in their best Superhero Chic to celebrate the extraordinary bond between people and animals — and to strengthen Hand in Paw’s mission of improving health and well-being through Animal-Assisted Therapy. The evening began with a VIP Experience featuring signature Tito’s cocktails, wine, hors d’oeuvres, and an exclusive first look at this year’s pet-inspired artworks. The main event offered a vintage photo booth, the Sandra Storm Wine Pull, a silent auction packed with unique items and luxury getaways, and the chance to meet Hand in Paw Therapy Teams.
After the silent auction closed, guests enjoyed a seated dinner and program highlighting our mission in action. The live auction brought excitement with rare packages, including a trip to the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in New York City and the opportunity to make a beloved pet the Face of Picasso Pets 2026. The evening also honored two outstanding partners: the Tweety Lasker Award went to the Renal Care Center at Children’s of Alabama for their exceptional collaboration, and the Margaret Davis Volunteer Service Award was presented to Karen Ford for her extraordinary service as a Therapy Team handler.
Picasso Pets isn’t just a celebration of creativity and community — it’s the cornerstone that fuels Hand in Paw’s mission. Funds raised at the gala ensure Therapy Teams can continue to bring comfort, connection, and healing to those who need it most. And as awareness of Animal-Assisted Therapy grows, so does the demand for these life-changing services.
