Bring your (well-behaved) pets and family to Hand in Paw on Saturday, November 22, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. for holiday photos with Santa! You’ll get high-resolution photos by Amanda Puskar Photography, perfect for your holiday cards and memories that warm the heart. All proceeds benefit Hand in Paw’s Animal-Assisted Therapy programs.

Save the Date! Hand in Paw's 16th Annual Mutt Strut: Dog-Friendly 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run will return to Homewood Central Park on Saturday, April 11! It will be a pawesome day in the great outdoors full of exciting races, contests, and vendors — all while supporting a wonderful cause!
These events occur every year and are our biggest fundraisers!

Picasso Pets
Our signature auction featuring a chic cocktail reception, star therapy animals, delectable drinks and hors d'oeuvres, and a live auction.
Picasso Pets 2025 will take place on Saturday, August 23 from 6-10 pm at Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum
Barktoberfest
Our Oktoberfest-style "friendraiser" where guests enjoy local beer and participate in fun contests!
Join us on Saturday, October 18, from 6–9 pm at Cahaba Brewing Company. Enjoy a spirited pet costume contest where furry friends show off their Halloween best, a photo booth, and a stein hoist competition for those ready to test their strength.
